One of the major problems that the economic crisis has thrown up is that of home foreclosures. This is bad news for home owners, of course, who can no longer afford to pay their mortgages, but too it can present difficulties for people renting their homes.
The reason people renting their homes can be adversely affected is that many are left in an insecure position once the home they live in is foreclosed. Lenders naturally want their money back, and usually the quickest way to achieve that is to sell the property.
